floor sitting

I decided a few months ago that I want to change up my office setup to make it a floor-seated office. The main reason was for fitness and movement, as mentioned in this video. But another reaso occurred to me as I was thinking about it: the animals. I am spending a LOT more time at my desk these days than I used to, and it means they get less time and attention. Opal will hop onto a table next to me but Serena Pie and Bundor will not. A floor seated desk means they can snuggle with me while i am working, which will do a lot to make all of them happier.

While thinking on it I realized that before I can know what height my desk needs to be, I need to have my floor chair. So I ordered a chair and once it arrives I will be able to figure out what to do about my desk. Will I just cut the legs down on my desk, or need something new? I think I will probably need something new, maybe one surface for my keyboard and a separate surface for writing?
