About a year ago I bought a plant stand on Amazon. It was not exactly a great fit for our decor, but it was inexpensive and the best of the options available. But we've been keeping our eyes peeled for something better. In February, we found something better! I got an amazing deal on three acrylic nesting tables from Amazon warehouse. Once they got here though I was worried about scratching them up, so we were using them only lightly. I needed the time to source some thick, clear vinyl, and then the time to make table covers out of the vinyl. Because the protectors are clear, you really can't see them unless you're looking, and they relieved any anxiety I had about scratching up the tables.

I am so pleased with how they look- the clear acrylic takes up so much less visual space, and because the tables are shorter than the plant stand, it opens that whole area of the living room.

Here's the plant stand right before.

And here are the new tables after:

Replaced the bamboo plant stand with these tables.

In addition to this we've made several other updates this year. B replaced the lights over our kitchen peninsula, added a wall cabinet in the hall bathroom, added shelves to the sides of our coat closet (we use them for pantry overflow/reserves) and also mounted some shelves in the master bathroom.
