So I made two orders the week of Xmas, one from Gap Factory and one from Gap. My goal was to get warm, long-sleeved shirts, some for outside the house and some for loungewear at home.

First, the Gap Factory order: I ordered 3 tees and 2 lightweight sweaters. One sweater (teal colored) was surprisingly nice and will be a part of my street clothes wardrobe. The other sweater is not as nice, but I decided to keep it for loungewear. (Gap Factory charges shipping for returns, or I would have returned it and the two solid tees.) It's fuchsia and red striped, and when I ordered it I thought it was fuchsia and orange, which is a combination I love-instead it's like ketchup red. I am wearing this sweater right now and it's very soft and warm and comfy.

One tee is mauve and navy striped and I bought it for lounging, it was an instant keeper. The others were one black and one white. I am not impressed with them, as they are super-thin and I really prefer thicker tees- I hate the tissue tee trend. But they were also $9 and returning them would cost me $7, so I am keeping them for now. I may end up donating them, or keeping them to wear under sweaters or something. I suspect they will wear out quickly, and because they are so thin they won't keep me warm at home.

The Gap order: mostly no good, a few gems. I did find that in the new modern tees, large is a better fit for me right now than medium.

What I am keeping: 2 striped crewneck tees, one in black/grey and one in fuchsia/orange. I love these two so much that I think I am going to order backups for when these inevitably wear out.  Also a boatneck tee in a kind of  bright pastel coral pink and navy stripe. It's a really bizarre color combination but it's really pretty. I think I probably will wear it only for lounging, but maybe I will change my mind. It's just a really weird-looking color combo. These tees were thick and warm and soft. I wore the fuchsia/orange stripe to a NYE party and a lady told me that I looked like a fancy wrapped gift :)

The "featherweight" tee turned out to be thin, but I am keeping it anyway (in rose pink) and I just ordered it in two more colors, a teal and a coral pink. I hate layering but it's too hard for me to find good tees for me to return an otherwise-good one because it's a little thin. The featherweight tees also have really weird side seams; the seams are flat-felled, but they curve around toward the front of the body instead of going straight down the sides. I've never seen this on a shirt before, but it seems to be intentional because it was on both of the tees I tried.

Most of the things I ordered are being returned. I just did a new order for more tees and I should be set for long-sleeved tees for a few years. I am not a fan of clothes-shopping, so my general MO is to buy a ton of similar tees at one time and wear them until I need new ones.

I got a lot of Gap Cash via these purchases so in February I want to use it to buy some short-sleeved tees, and I should then be set on those for a few years also. I can't wait to donate all these Eddie Bauer tees I bought in 2015. They are so unflattering! Gap tees just fit me so much better, they are longer, and have narrower shoulders and a defined waist, so I am really glad that they had a good selection of tees for me this winter.
