It's only been a month, but what a month! The phals in moss are super-hydrated and having a lot of root growth. Some are also having leaf growth, and a few are in spike. Most of them appear to have had no repot shock at all with the moss. #6 in particular had been going downhill for a year, and it's doing so well in moss. In fact it needs repotting, because it is absorbing all the water in the pot within just 2 days of watering. I water on Wednesdays and the weekend, so that means it needs a bigger pot with more moss and more water-holding capacity. That's awesome!
In contrast, #14 is in LECA and Seramis and it's not doing as well. There is no new root growth, and I think I just detected some growth in the newest leaf. It did absolutely nothing at all for most of the month, though, so it is clearly in shock.
28 is in Seramis only and like 14, it's done just about nothing. it did have a tiny spurt of growth in one root, but that root is above the medium and is not growing as quickly as those in moss. Worst is that I really don't know when to water it because I can't see the roots that are in the medium from outside the pot. I am kind of guessing. There's one root in the medium and I can see a small amount of it near the plant, and it NEVER dries out. So maybe I should wait longer, but it would be WEEKS which seems unreal.
