Today was a good day. Made my week thus far.
I didn't get enough sleep (stress from yesterday) and I woke up very tired and in stomach pain. Pain has been pretty high today, again due to the lack of sleep I am sure. But then I went to get my hair cut! And I really like the person who cuts my hair these days. She gives great haircut and she is fun and sweet. So that had me in a good mood. I went to Trader Joe's to look at orchids but the line was enormous. I lost track of time though and was late to my S&B.
About a year ago I started going to a Stitch & Bitch, and I've met so many lovely people. So in April or May, I decided to start a Stitch & Bitch for my general neighborhood, to try to meet people who live nearby. (That was the one happening today.) I've met some lovely people, and tonight 2 of my favorite people from the other S&B came too (one lives in the area and one works nearby.) I had a really good night visiting with those ladies, we stitched together for 5 hours!
At one point I laid out my blanket strips to show V the way the colors were going to work diagonally. A young boy, maybe 10 or so, saw it and got really excited. He said "Woooooowww!" He asked me a few questions about the work and crochet, and I invited him to come to our next S&B and offered to teach him crochet. His mom was enthused and very nice.
Then tonight near the end of the evening, a woman was about to leave and she came over and said to me "This is beautiful. I love looking at your work." Wow! I really melted. How nice.
While I was at S&B B stopped in to visit for a bit and then he went home and made chicken-mushroom soup for dinner.
